DIY: Macramé Bracelet

Now I remember...

...A few weeks ago I posted THIS post. And after posting that post I thought:
'Hmmmm...Haven't I forgotten something?'

Well, the good news is: I just remembered what I've forgotten:
telling you how to make these awesome bracelets!

SO...

...for today (actually evening to be honest ;),
   a new DIY!
Have fun!

What you'll need:

♥ Wool (I always use wool that's made out of 100% cotton) or embroidery floss

♥ Tape

♥ Scissors

PS: I doesn't matter how many different stands of wool you use.
For this project I used three colors (6 strands), but you could also use four, six, ten or even hundred strands of wool and different colors for your bracelet!

1.
Cut six strands of wool,  each at about 60-70 cm long.
Tie the strands together and tape the knot to a flat working surface. Seperate the colors in two sets.
As example: pink, green, white - white, green, pink

  2.
Fold the outhermost strand (here pink) over the second strand (here green).

    3.
Loop the strand (pink) "back" and under the green strand, like your making a knot.

This is how it should look.

    4.
Then pull up and tighten. Knot twice! That's very important! If your knot isn't pink but green,
make sure that the second strand (here green) is pulled downward!

   5.
Continue making knots until you've reached the middle (that's the point were you've had all the
colors and the outermost strand has carried over the middle). Remember: always knot twice!

      6.
Then start making a "backward knot". Fold the outhermost strand (pink again, but then the
second strand and this time on the right side) over the strand left from it (here green again).

    7.
Loop under and back through the opening. Pull up and tighten. Knot twice!
Continue making backward knots, until you've reached the middle.

This is how it should look. It's normal when your knots (and bracelet) look a little bit messy at
first, but this will change later on when the strands fall nicely into place.

    8.
Make a backward knot over the first pink strand (the left one). Pull up, tighten and knot twice!

This is how the middle should look.

   9.
Repeat step 2-8 until your bracelet is wide enough to fit around your wrist (pictures above
and below). As you can see, a pattern emerges!!

Hey! Your bracelet has finished! Knot both ends and wear it!
